PESHAWAR: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced that Allai will be notified as a new district of the province.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s house on Tuesday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced the issuance of a formal notification to make Tehsil Alai of Battagram district a district.
A meeting of parliamentarians of Hazara Division was held at Pakhtunkhwa House, Islamabad, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi. During the meeting, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced the issuance of a notification to make Allai a district.
Addressing the meeting, he said that fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people of the area was among his priorities, for which steps have been completed.
The Chief Minister also announced a historic and comprehensive development package of Rs 200 billion for the overall development of Hazara Division, while directing the allocation of Rs 50 billion specifically for tourism projects.
