KARACHI: Protests erupted in Karachi in response to recent US and Israeli attacks on Iran, with demonstrators attempting to breach the US Consulate. According to police, the protesters threw stones at the consulate, escalating tensions in the area.
In response, the Karachi Police and Rangers quickly intervened, using tear gas to disperse the crowd and push them back. Karachi Police Chief Azad Khan, who was present at the scene, confirmed that the situation was under control.
Chief Karachi police also stated that a small number of individuals who managed to enter the consulate premises were promptly removed and dispersed by the security forces. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and assured them that the security situation is being closely monitored.
