KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has said that the narrative being promoted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against Pakistan has been rejected and effectively buried.
Speaking at a press conference in Karachi alongside leaders of MQM-Pakistan, the governor said statements made by PTI representatives in the United Kingdom were anti-state and alarming, comparing them to acts that undermine national security. He added that criticism directed at Pakistan’s armed forces abroad reflects PTI’s true narrative, which he strongly condemned.
Tessori said the situation was similar to hostile use of foreign soil against Pakistan and warned that such actions were harmful to the country’s interests. He claimed that following the May conflict, Pakistan received widespread international recognition, adding that a US magazine had described Pakistan as a “winner” while labeling India a “loser.”
The governor said Pakistan has now emerged as a center of global strength, with several countries signing defense agreements with it, proving its military capability and strategic importance.
He further stated that PTI’s narrative no longer holds ground and accused the party of attempting to mislead overseas Pakistanis. Tessori urged overseas Pakistanis to protect their children from what he described as propaganda.
Kamran Tessori said there should be no negotiations with PTI and that the party should be treated in the same manner his party had been in the past. He paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and said the sacrifices made by previous generations for the country would always be honored.
During the press conference, the governor also said that MQM-Pakistan represents federal unity and that Karachi is not seeking charity but its rightful share, adding that the world now recognizes Pakistan as a strong and responsible state.
