At least 10 people were killed and 25 injured in two separate shooting incidents in the Tumbler Ridge area of British Columbia, Canada. According to police, the attacker has also been killed.
According to foreign media reports, the first incident took place at a high school in Tumbler Ridge, where 6 people lost their lives as a result of the shooting. Later, the bodies of 2 people were recovered from a nearby residential house.
Police say that one injured person died on the way to the hospital, while the other injured were immediately transferred to nearby hospitals, where some are said to be in critical condition. Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and started an investigation. According to initial reports, the attacker has also died, but the motives for the shooting are still unclear.
The incident has spread panic in the area, while educational institutions have been temporarily closed. Officials say more details will be released after a full investigation into the incident.
