KARACHI: Gold prices continued to rise for the third consecutive session, experiencing a total increase of Rs 17,500 per tola over the past three days, driven by a significant surge in international markets.

On this day, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs7,100 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs 533,562. Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams increased by Rs 6,087, settling at Rs 457,443.

In the international market, gold prices climbed by $71 per ounce, reaching $5,108. Traders attributed the domestic price surge to higher global prices and fluctuations in the exchange rate.

Silver prices also saw an increase in the local market, with the price of silver rising by Rs 374 per tola to reach Rs 8,948.
