KARACHI: Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Memon has condemned the released Indian movie Dhurandhar describing it as a piece of adverse propaganda, against Pakistan especially focusing on the Lyari region.
In a message posted on media Memon stated that Lyari is frequently portrayed incorrectly as a center of violence whereas in truth it represents culture, peace, talent and strength. “Lyari is not defined by violence but, by culture, peace, ability and bravery ” he stressed.
The minister further stated that the upcoming film Mera Lyari, which is set to release next month, will show the real Lyari picturing its nature, riches, and honor.
Dhurandhar, a film that was just released in India, is a star-studded Bollywood movie with the likes of Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, A R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt playing the main characters. Memon is quoted as saying that the movie is a biased and unjust portrayal of Pakistan and Lyari that only projects their negative side.
Another Anti-Pakistan propaganda narrative debunked
Another false propaganda by certain political groups hostile towards Pakistan has been exposed by National Database and registration authority (NADRA).
NADRA has rejected misleading claims made by certain groups regarding discriminatory notices based on linguistic grounds.
In a clarification statement, NADRA stated, that the claims regarding discrimination notices are categorically rejected as fake news.
No such notices have been displayed in any of NADRA’s offices across Pakistan.
Under our national mandate, we provide services to all citizens without discrimination.
NADRA emphasized that the misinformation is a deliberate attempt to distort the facts.
Certain political elements are spreading fabricated news to incite unrest and chaos in Pakistan. Lies and misleading information are circulating on social media to mislead the public and create discord within the country.
Anti-national elements are using these tactics to fuel instability in Pakistan through deception.
