LAHORE: Pakistan Test team captain Shan Masood has created a new national record by scoring the fastest double century in Pakistan’s first-class cricket history.
Shan Masood got his double hundred in а match against Sahir Associates while playing for SNGPL and accomplished that rather quickly with only 177 balls faced. This incredible milestone turns him into the quickest Pakistani batsman to score a double century in first-class cricket.
The record-holder before that was the captain of Pakistan, Inzamam-ul-Haq, who scored a double century against Oxford and Cambridge universities in a first-class tour match within just 188 balls.
Masood’s double century is the fastest first-class double hundred in the history of the country. Earlier on, India’s Virender Sehwag’s double in 182 balls during the Lahore Test of 2006 was the record.

England ends 15-year drought in Australia with Ashes win

This victory puts an end to 15 years of waiting for England in Australia. The series consisting of five matches now sees Australia leading by 3-1.
The first Test match held in Perth also got over on the second day causing a big blow to Cricket Australia.
