The Pakistan authorities have put the name of Shahid Bhutti on the Provisional National Identification List(PNIL) due to his alleged harassment of Pakistan Journalists Shahzeb Khanzada with his wife.
The incident of harassment of Pakistani journalist Shahzeb Khanzada and his wife occurred in a shopping mall in Toronto, which has caused a stir in the media and public circles. In this incident, a man named Shahid Bhatti, a PTI worker, had abused and harassed Shahzeb Khanzada and his wife, due to which both of them had to face severe mental anguish. The video of this incident went viral on social media, after which the Pakistani authorities took notice of the matter.
Now, according to the latest reports, the Pakistani authorities have added Shahid Bhutti’s name to the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). This means that he will no longer be able to avail of any legal or travel facilities inside or outside Pakistan for one month.
Journalist Murtaza Ali Shah, in his Instagram post, claimed that Shahid Bhatti’s efforts to renew his Pakistani passport have also been stopped. This move is a sign that the Pakistani government is ready to take strict action against individuals who try to harass or defame public figures. The move is aimed not only at punishing Shahid Bhatti but also at sending a message that such indecent acts will not be tolerated, whether in Pakistan or abroad.
Following the incident, Shahzeb Khanzada and his wife have been provided with legal protection and security, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
It is important to mention that a video of the incident had gone viral across social media platforms on Sunday. PTI workers are seen harassing Shahzeeb Khanzada, who is looking for stuff for his family at a shopping mall. The video scenes show that the PTI supporter filmed the couple and hurled abusive language at them when they were shopping at the mall.
