ISLAMABAD: Young cricketer Shahzaib Bhatti, 24 years old, has announced his resignation from Pakistan’s national cricket scene, citing deep frustration with the country’s cricketing system. Bhatti shared his feelings through a social media announcement, which showed his disappointment about not getting career chances because of political interference, corrupt practices and inefficient system operations.
After winning the prestigious Quaid e Azam final on live television one year ago, Bhatti disclosed that he has sat out almost 40 straight matches since that championship win. Although he reached an exceptional accomplishment, he has not been able to maintain a regular position on the national squad.
Bhatti wrote about his dream to play for Pakistan but he faced career destruction because of political matters and corrupt practices and poor organizational systems destroyed his professional path and that of other people. “I now understand why so many cricketers are leaving Pakistan cricket.”

The young cricketer who left the team shows that Pakistan cricket needs better development methods because the current systems make it hard for young players to enter the profession. His emotional departure creates critical challenges for Pakistan cricket because it reveals problems with how players are treated within the national team system and the opportunities that exist for them.
Bhatti ended his statement with a sad farewell to Pakistan cricket when he said “Goodbye” which marked his final departure from the sport.
His resignation has triggered various responses from the cricket community, as Bhatti attempts to leave social media. The cricket community shows both sympathy for Bhatti and frustration about Pakistan’s ongoing sports issues. His exit has intensified the current discussion about needed changes in the system.
