ISLAMABAD: Severe tremors of the earthquake were felt in various districts of the province, including the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, and its environs.
The earthquake caused panic among the citizens, and people came out of their homes, offices, and shops while reciting Kalima Tayyaba.
Apart from Peshawar, the tremors of the earthquake were also felt in Swat, Shangla, Charsadda, Bajaur, Lakki Marwat, Lower Dir, Abbottabad, Mardan, Nowshera, and Kalam.
According to initial reports, no loss of life or property has been reported from the earthquake so far. The administration has directed the citizens to remain alert and inform the relevant authorities in case of any emergency.
The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 6.3 on ractor scale and affected countries, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan،75 km from Garam Chashma.
