MOHMAND: Six people were killed, and one another was sustained critical injuries when a car plunged into a gorge in the Kadapa Dhand area of the district Mohmand on Friday.

A tragic traffic accident has taken place in the tribal district of Mohmand, where a Fielder motor car going from Ambar tehsil of Lower Mohmand to Yakka Ghund fell into a deep gorge while taking a dangerous turn at Kadapa Dhand. As a result of the accident, 6 people died, and one person was injured.
According to rescue sources, the accident took place on the Mohmand-Peshawar highway on Friday. Three people in the vehicle died on the spot, while three seriously injured people succumbed to their injuries after being shifted to the hospital.
The Mohmand rescue team reached the accident site as soon as it was informed and shifted the injured to the hospital in critical condition after providing first aid.
The deceased include Wazir Khan son of Karimullah, Zardul son of Yar Khan, Zahir Gul son of Momin Khan, Mir Alam, Ghulam Saeed son of Bakht Muhammad and Noor Al-Bishr, son of Jan Khan, all of whom are said to belong to different areas of Ambar tehsil. Gul Badshah son of Mehran Gul, who was injured in the accident, is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Headquarters Hospital, Ghalnai for necessary action. According to the locals, this bend in the Dhand is very dangerous and several accidents have occurred here in the past. The public has demanded that safety measures be taken at the said location to prevent the loss of precious lives.
