PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have ordered the transfer and posting of two senior officers in the public interest with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the Central Police Office (CPO), the transfers were made under sub-section (4) of Section of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017, exercising the powers of the Provincial Police Officer, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per the notification, Mr Muhammad Iqbal, DSP (BS-17), who was serving as Acting SP Investigation, Upper Waziristan, has been transferred and posted as Acting SP Paharpur, Dera Ismail Khan, in his own pay and scale.
Similarly, Mr Ghulam Murtaza, DSP (BS-17), has been transferred and posted as Acting SP City, Dera Ismail Khan, in his own pay and scale.
The notification stated that the transfers and postings take effect immediately.
