PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has constituted a nine-member parliamentary board to select a candidate for the vacant Senate seat previously held by Murad Saeed.

The board will be chaired by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and includes key party leaders such as PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar National Assembly Parliamentary Leader Shahid Khatak and MNA Atif Khan.

The board comprises MNA Subghatullah KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati MPA Akbar Ayub and PTI KP General Secretaries Ali Asghar Khan and Ali Khan Jadun.

PTI KP General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan issued an official notification that formed the parliamentary board which will now conduct the selection process for the vacant Senate seat.

PTI considers this action to be a vital measure which guarantees their candidate selection process for the upcoming Senate elections will proceed in an organized and strategic manner.

PTI KP announces protests against fuel price hike

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced that protests will be held across the province against the recent hike in petroleum product prices.

The protests will be held on Friday and Sunday. This is an attempt to express the outrage that is brewing among the public regarding the hike in petroleum product prices.

This was announced by PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar Khan on his official X account formerly known as Twitter. In this tweet, he announced that protests will be held in front of all press clubs in the province.

“We will stage a massive protest against the devastating hike in petrol prices on Friday and Sunday at all press clubs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.” This protest is not just about expressing their outrage over the hike in petroleum product prices. All members of the National and Provincial Assembly, party officials, wings, and workers have been urged to take an active part in this protest. This was announced by the PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President. “I call on all PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa members, party officials, and workers to ensure their participation in this important protest.”

This protest is an attempt by PTI to show their solidarity with the public and to express their opposition to this crippling economic decision by the federal government. This hike in fuel prices has caused a significant burden on the masses.
