During heavy snowfall in Orakzai District, security forces opened roads on an emergency basis to help the local people and facilitate timely burials. Security forces completed a special relief operation to help the local population during heavy snowfall and adverse weather in remote areas of Orakzai District.
Due to the recent snowfall, all roads leading to the village of Kalaya Darbar were completely closed. The closed roads not only suspended transportation but also made it impossible for a bereaved family to carry out the funeral of their loved one.
As soon as the information about the road closure was received, the security forces mobilized heavy machinery and manpower on an emergency basis. Despite the harshest weather conditions, the security personnel worked day and night to remove the snow and restore the road.
After the rescue operation, the funeral prayer and burial of the local citizen could be performed in a timely and dignified manner. Local elders and the public appreciated this compassionate and timely action of the Pakistan Army and thanked the security forces.
The Pakistan Army stands by its people in every hour of difficulty and is committed to continuing its efforts for regional peace as well as the social and welfare of the citizens.
