NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Six terrorists were killed while trying to carry out a suicide attack on a security forces camp in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan on Friday.
According to security sources, Khawarij attempted a suicide attack on security forces in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan. Khawarij rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the wall of the security forces camp, which exploded, and later three more Khawarij tried to enter the camp, according to sources. As a result of timely and brave action, all three Khawarij were killed outside the camp. The attackers who carried out a deadly attack on the Khaddi fort of the security forces in Mir Ali, North Waziristan district have been killed. Seven security personnel have lost their lives, and 13 others are injured.
Under the National Action Plan, the Pakistani army and law enforcement agencies will stand firm to defend the country until the last Khawarij is eliminated.
Jaish-e-Fursan Muhammad has once again claimed responsibility for the Mirali attack. Notably, following a similar attack by this faction earlier this year, Pakistan carried out precision retaliation strikes in Khost and Paktika, targeting the group’s hideouts across the border.
This is the second major assault on the fort, orchestrated by the Hafiz Gul Bahadur (HGB) Group’s Jaish-e-Fursan Muhammad faction. The same outfit had previously struck the post on 16 March 2024, which claimed the lives of Lt Col Kashif (CO 242 Wing) & 16 soldiers
