DI KHAN: Security forces killed two Khawarij during an operation in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the ISPR, the forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kalachi area of Dera Ismail Khan on information about the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna-ul-Hindustan. During the operation, the forces effectively targeted the Khawarij hideout in a very professional manner, as a result of which two Khawarij were killed, including a key commander and Ringleader Dilawar.
According to the ISPR, the slain Khawarij commander Dilawar was wanted to law enforcement agencies for a long time and was directly involved in several terrorist operations. The government had set a bounty of Rs 4 million on his head. According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists.
Security forces have also launched clearance and sanitization operations to eliminate other terrorist elements possibly present in the area to ensure that no Indian-sponsored Khawarij elements remain in the area.
