LAKKI MARWAT: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sherikhel and Nasrkhel areas, resulting in an exchange of fire with militants, during which ten terrorists were killed.
A fierce gunfight occurred in the Sherikhel area of Lakki Marwat, where, according to the latest reports, nine militants were killed in the crossfire.
Additionally, the Lakki Marwat police, in collaboration with forces from other districts, carried out a joint operation in the Nasrkhel Durga and Akhundan areas under the Sarai Naurang police station, resulting in the death of one more militant. Search and clearance operations are still ongoing in these areas, and the police have tightened security measures. The situation in the region has remained tense throughout the day.
Among those killed, one militant was identified as being from Tajori, another from Paharkhel Pakka, one from Sherikhel, one from Ghati Machankhel, one from Kaalkhel, one from Tatrakhel, and two from Tank. Two militants have not yet been identified.
