Security forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists during an intelligence-based operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Pishin area of Balochistan.

A seven-member terrorist group was neutralised during the operation. According to security sources, the group was attempting to cross the border with plans to carry out sabotage activities under the direction of a foreign commander named Baseer. Another foreign commander, Naseer, has been identified as the mastermind behind the attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters that occurred on September 30.

By implementing a timely and effective strategy, security forces completely dismantled the terrorist formation and secured the area.

In a related incident, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa confirmed the death of a detained commander from the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an exchange of fire in Bannu. CTD officials reported that the detained terrorist commander, known as Osama, alias Daniyal or Baghi, was killed during clashes between two groups on Sunday. Osama was an active member and alleged mastermind of the new terrorist organization Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan.
