KECH: Two terrorists from the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) were killed in an exchange of gunfire with security forces near the Jasik Cross area in the Makran Range of Kech district.

There were no casualties or property damage among the security forces during the operation.

According to sources, security agencies received information regarding the movement of a suspected woman named Nargis, a resident of Balcha, Tehsil Tamp, who was travelling with the terrorists of the BLA. This led to extensive checkpoints and snap checks being established in the area to intercept a suspected silver Corolla vehicle.

Reports indicate that at 6:55 PM, security forces established a checkpoint near the Jasik border. The suspected silver Corolla attempted to avoid the checkpoint by changing its route. The situation was immediately reported to the nearby Quick Reaction Force (QRF) that was on patrol in Singhanizar.

The QRF pursued the suspected vehicle. During the chase, the terrorists inside the vehicle opened fire near Jasik Cross, prompting a retaliatory response from security forces that resulted in the deaths of two terrorists.

One of the deceased terrorists has been identified as Saleem, who had been wanted for two years and was involved in several terrorist activities. Efforts are underway to identify the second terrorist, but it may take time as he sustained a head injury.

Following the incident, the Quick Reaction Forces have cordoned off the area, and the clearance operation for the suspected vehicle is in progress. Arms, equipment, and ammunition have also been recovered from the vehicle.
