BAJAUR: Security forces have successfully thwarted a cowardly attack by Khawarij in Bajaur, resulting in the death of 12 militants. The operation is ongoing to pursue the fleeing Khawarij. So far, three soldiers of the Pakistan Army have been reported martyred and six injured.
Dozens of civilians were also injured in the cowardly attack.
A suicide attack attempt involving an explosive-laden vehicle was foiled at the Malangi post of the security forces in Bajaur. Thanks to effective security measures, the losses for the security forces were minimal.
The area has been cordoned off, and a search operation has commenced. Another attempt by the Khawarij to disrupt the peace in Bajaur has failed.
These elements seek to drag the peace-loving people of Bajaur into terrorism; however, the elimination of these Khawarij is inevitable. Operations will continue under the National Action Plan until the last Khawari is eradicated.
