BATTAGRAM: The Deputy Commissioner Battagram Ishtiaq Ahmed has imposed Section 144 to combat the illegal cutting of forests within the Battagram district.

This order strictly prohibits the use chainsaws and sawmills to protect valuable forest resources. The Deputy Commissioner has instructed the relevant departments to take immediate and rigorous legal action against violators.

These measures are crucial for preserving the natural beauty of the forests and safeguarding the environment. “Forests represent our natural wealth, yet they are being cut down indiscriminately through illegal practices, which not only destroy trees at an alarming rate but also threaten our environment,” DC Said in his statement.

The deforestation adversely affects forest survival, wildlife habitats, and ecological balance, posing serious threats to human life in the future. Therefore, a complete ban has been enforced on the use of illegal chainsaws and sawmills under Section 144 throughout the district.
