AZAD KASHMIR: A van carrying sixteen passengers met a tragic incident in the Azad Pattan, Sundhoti district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The search operation is continuing as 12 passengers are missing after the van plunged into the river.

According to the police official, the incident took place in the Azad Pattan area, where a passenger van carrying eighteen passengers plunged into the river.

Initial details state that four of 16 passengers have been rescued, and the search for the remaining 14 continues in the river.

According to the details, the passenger van was en-route to Rawalpindi from the Hajira area, where it plunged into the river. According to Deputy Commissioner Sundhuti, rescue teams are taking part in the rescue operation along with the police, rescuing four passengers alive.

The rescue operation for the missing individuals is still ongoing.

The injured in the accident have been immediately shifted to Kahuta THQ Hospital, where they are being provided medical assistance. Rescue officials say the fast-flowing river and difficult terrain are creating obstacles to the operation; however, the search for the missing persons is continuing.
