TANK: Unknown perpetrators targeted two government schools with explosives in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, the blasts occurred at night at the Government High School Akbar and the Government Girls Primary School Kadi Umar Khan, both located within the jurisdiction of the Gul Imam police station.
The explosions destroyed both school buildings, reducing them to rubble. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Following the explosions, panic spread throughout the area. Police and security agencies cordoned off the scene and began collecting evidence. Initial reports indicate that a large quantity of explosives was used in the blasts.
The police have launched an operation to search for the perpetrators, and further investigation into the incident is currently underway.

Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the Lalikhel area of Tank, during which a key Afghan Khawarij member, Abu Dujana, was killed in an exchange of fire.
According to security sources, Abu Dujana was a key figure responsible for preparing improvised explosive devices (IEDs). During the operation, two to three other Khawarij were injured and managed to escape through a drain.
Security sources further stated that a 30-kilogram IED was recovered from the area and promptly defused. Weapons, ammunition, suicide jackets, grenades, fake Pakistani identity cards, and other materials were also seized from the possession of the slain militant.
