Haripur: Haripur City Police arrested a three-member gang involved in deceiving and defrauding citizens of their money. The police also recovered Rs. 80,000 in cash and the vehicle used in the crimes.
Under the supervision of DPO Haripur Farhan Khan, the crackdown against criminal elements continues.
According to police reports, the suspects had been tricking citizens near Shakar Shah Ziarat and GT Road, Hazara Oil Shop, by offering them a lift in their car and then stealing their money. Following multiple complaints, two FIRs (No. 736 and No. 759) under sections 419, 420, and 34 PPC were registered at the City Police Station.
City Police SHO Rizwan Khan, along with the investigation team, conducted a successful operation and apprehended three suspects: Shahbaz Khan (resident of Abbottabad, currently in Islamabad), Nizakat Ali, and Umar Khan (residents of Shimla Pahari, Abbottabad).
Cash worth Rs. 80,000 and the vehicle used in the incidents were seized. Further investigation is underway.
