SBP announces bank holiday

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, on account of a public holiday being observed across the country.

According to an official notification, the holiday has been declared by the Government of Pakistan on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

All offices of the State Bank, including its field offices, will remain closed for public dealings on the said date. Normal banking operations will resume on the next working day.

The holiday will be observed nationwide.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday announced winter vacations for all courts across the province.

According to a statement issued by the PHC, it has announced winter vacations for 2025-26 for all upper and lower courts across the province.

It said that all lower courts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain closed from December 24 to January 1. While the vacations have been announced for the Peshawar High Court judges, commencing from December 29 to January 12.
Therefore, the Peshawar High Court staff will be on winter vacation from December 29 to January 6.
