PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s Saim Ayub achieved a major milestone by securing the top spot in the ICC T20 all-rounders rankings.
India’s hegemony in other T20 aspects was unchanged as Abhishek Sharma kept the T20 batters top place while Varun Chakravarthy was still the number one T20 bowler.
According to the updated rankings that were made public on Wednesday, England’s Joe Root has been able to keep his top position in the latest ICC Test batters rankings and his fellow countryman Harry Brook has risen three spots to take the second position. Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel also made progress by going up from 10th to 9th while India’s Shubman Gill made his way into the top ten by taking the 10th position.
England opener Zak Crawley finds himself at the 36th position in the Test batsmen rankings now. In the Test bowlers’ rankings, India’s Jasprit Bumrah is still in the top position and has not lost any of his supremacy. Australia’s Mitchell Starc moved up one place and is now at the second spot as he shares the same rating of 843 points with Pakistan’s Nauman Ali.
Scott Boland from Australia went up two slots and is now 7th. The England bowlers made remarkable advancements as one of them went up four places to take the 13th position while Brydon Carse jumped six places to take the 23rd spot. Josh Tongue had a remarkable rise as he climbed 13 places to arrive at the 30th position. In the Test all-rounders rankings, India’s Ravindra Jadeja is still at the top.
