PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information and Public Relations Advisor Barrister Saif has cautioned that the recent hike in petrol prices will give a new push to inflation throughout the nation.
Commenting on the recent decision of the government, Barriester Saif condemned the “fake government” for imposing a “petrol bomb” on the nation in the dead of night. He stated that the petrol price hike is contrary to the government’s assertion of managing inflation and will trigger a steep increase in the price of essential commodities.
He remembered that petrol in the PTI government was only 150 rupees per liter, and essentials were cheaper than half of their current prices.
He continued to say that the present government had put people into extreme trouble and the recent hike in petrol will create a new inflation storm, which he called an injustice against the people.
