MARDAN: A local welfare organization of Rustam distributed 55 scholarships among the poor and deserving students of government schools to enable them to get admission in prominent colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talking to Pakhtun Digital, one of the students, Mohammad Ali resident of the village Chargullai, said that he was a poor student of government schools and could not afford his education expenses, but a local welfare organization led by Abbas Khan enabled them to get admission at Quaid-e-Azam college. He said that this welfare organization has distributed 55 scholarships among the poor students who were unable to continue their education expenses to financial constraints.
Another student, Aftab Khan resident of Union Council Chargulli, told this correspondent that a large number of students want to continue their education beyond the matric, but they could not afford education due to poverty. He said that this organization has enabled 55 families to equip their children with the ornament of education.
Abass Khan, President of the welfare organization, while addressing the occasion, said that this was his dream, and today God Almighty fulfilled their dream by enabling him to help the poor, brilliant students of government schools to continue their education in the best colleges of the province.
He said that no stone will be left unturned for the betterment of poor children who cannot afford their education. He added that this welfare organization will generate more funds to keep up its scholarship program at a higher level.
