MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia might stop gas supplies to Europe because of rising energy costs, which have been driven by the ongoing conflict in Iran.
Putin declared that the European Union intends to establish restrictions against Russian natural gas and LNG. He said that if these restrictions become active, Russia would find better opportunities in different markets.
According to foreign media reports, Moscow has begun targeting Chinese markets because European countries are reducing their dependence on Russian energy sources.
Trump vows to continue strikes on Iran, claims Iranian leadership is being “Eliminated”
Earlier, US President Donald Trump has announced that the attacks on Iran will continue, as the Iranian leadership is being quickly eliminated and that anyone who wants to be a leader in Iran is being killed.
Delivering a speech to a roundtable conference, President Trump emphasized that the US is in a very strong position regarding Iran. He stated that the missiles and launchers of Iran are being dismantled, and the US is performing very well on the war front, which is better than expected.
President Trump stated, “If we hadn’t attacked Iran, they would have attacked us.” We struck Iran before they could launch an attack on us. If we hadn’t acted, Iran would soon have had nuclear weapons.”
The US President further criticized Iran for targeting its neighbours and allies, stating that “when madmen have nuclear weapons, bad things happen.” He also claimed that the US had stopped a massacre in Iran that had been ongoing for 47 years.
Additionally, President Trump criticized former President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, calling it a mistake. The White House indicated that Trump believes he has strong support from the American people for continued action against Iran, and claims that Spain has agreed to cooperate with the US military.
