SWABI: The Swabi district police officer, Ziauddin Ahmad, has rejected false claims about Station House Officer (SHO) Abdul Ali alias Gabbar, saying he was removed from the office for using an extremist mentality profile photo on his WhatsApp profile.
According to District Police Officer Swabi Ziauddin Ahmed, SHO of Gabbar police station Abdul Ali alias Gabbar, was removed from his post for posting a controversial picture on WhatsApp.
He said that the picture on the SHO’s WhatsApp account reflected extremist and terrorist mentality, which is against the police code of conduct and the law.
DPO Ziauddin Ahmed further said that action was ordered against the SHO on the instructions of the Regional Police Officer Mardan.
According to him, the SHO was informed several times to remove the controversial picture, but despite repeated warnings, he continued to violate the law, after which departmental action was taken.
DPO Swabi said that any kind of extremism or lawlessness will never be tolerated in the police force, and indiscriminate action will continue against such elements.
