ISLAMABAD: At least 31 people were martyred and numerous others injured in a suicide bombing at a mosque in Tarlai. Government sources have confirmed that the suicide bomber has been identified and was found to have received specialised terrorist training in Afghanistan.

Investigations reveal that the perpetrator had travelled to Afghanistan several times, returning to Pakistan shortly before carrying out the attack. Authorities stated that terrorist groups operating under the patronage of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan pose a direct threat to regional security. Furthermore, government sources alleged a nexus between Afghanistan and India is behind every terrorist act in Pakistan.

Despite the tragedy, officials emphasised that the nation remains united like a “leaden wall” against such heinous acts, asserting that cowardly attacks on mosques and innocent citizens will not shake the resolve of the Pakistani people.
