Heavy rain continues to lash parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while snowfall is received in the upper parts of the province for the second consecutive day. Cold waves once again gripped the region after a brief hot spell.
According to locals, the upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Shangla, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Naran Kaghan, and Abbottabad, received heavy rain, while the mountains were capped with a snow blanket.
There had been severe hot weather across Pakistan; however, with the new spell of rain and snowfall on the mountains, it turned cold.
The heavy rain also disrupted life in the remote areas, blocking the roads due to landslides and suspension of the power supply.
