CHARSADDA (Alaf Khan Sherpaw): Workers from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in Wardagha blocked the road to protest against the unfair distribution of the Ramazan cash package, severely criticising the local NA-25 MNA and PK-64 MPA.

According to Masood, the PTI general secretary of the Wardagh Union Council, a list of 350 deserving individuals in the area was prepared, but none of them received the Ramadan package. The protesters claimed that the aid was given to individuals who are allegedly close to influential figures or who flatter them.

They alleged that MNA and MPA Iftikhar Ullah distributed the Ramadan package to his favourites and close relatives, completely ignoring the list prepared by the party workers.

The workers warned that if immediate action is not taken, they will intensify their protests by demonstrating in front of the homes of the MNAs and MPAs and will also bring the alleged corruption cases to the media’s attention.

Masood added that there are significant differences among elected representatives, which are negatively affecting grassroots workers.
