Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan announced that the party will take a final decision to attend the meeting of the Judicial Commission only after meeting the founder.
“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) participation in the Judicial Commission is strictly linked to the condition after meeting its founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan,” He remarked while talking to media persons. Gohar Ali Khan said that the party has serious reservations regarding the 26th Constitutional Amendment, due to which PTI has not attended the commission meeting in the past and boycotted the committees.
He added that the recent notification of the opposition leader in the National Assembly can be considered better, and it is hoped that the notification of the opposition leader will also be issued soon in the Senate. The PTI chairman clarified that the party had not attended the commission meeting before, and this time too, the final decision on participation would be taken after meeting Imran Khan. He said that the party would formally convey its position on the matter and would proceed with all matters transparently.
Political observers say that this decision is part of the PTI’s strategy to take a strong stand on the commission’s proceedings, and the final decision on the party’s participation would be taken only after meeting Imran Khan, which could also have an impact on the future political situation.
