HARIPUR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Omar Ayub confidently said that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf candidate will win the By-election today in Haripur.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub has asserted that PTI will secure victory in Haripur in the by-election.

Speaking from Khalabat Sector One in Haripur district, Ayub said the area comprises two union councils with a total of 29 polling stations. He recalled that during the 2024 general elections, several PTI workers were either in jail, on the run, or facing police pressure.

Despite these challenges, he said PTI won 27 out of the 29 polling stations, while their opponents lost in 27 stations. Even under extreme restrictions, PTI secured 27 of the 29 polling stations, he noted.

Ayub added that in the previous election, PTI’s candidate defeated the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) contender by a margin of 82,000 votes. The PML-N candidate even lost at his own home polling station here in Khalabat, he said.

He expressed confidence that this time, PTI would win all 29 polling stations. All polling stations will be won by the founding chairman’s party. Everything is clear, PTI will win from here, he asserted.

It is pertinent to mention that the by-election is being held in the seat vacated after Omar Ayub’s conviction, and his wife is now contesting from the constituency.
