Workers and provincial leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) have blocked several key entry and exit routes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Attock Bridge, Khairabad, and Nowshera, leading to suspended traffic in these areas.

The protest is being held to demand that PTI founder Imran Khan be allowed access to his personal physician and undergo a complete medical examination under supervision at Al-Shifa Hospital.

PTI workers, led by District President Irfan Saleem, General Secretary Khurshid Alam, and Ayesha Bano, have closed Attock Bridge to all types of traffic. The leaders stated that the protest will continue until Imran Khan is granted full access to his physician.

Reports indicate that members of the Insaf Youth Wing, Insaf Student Federation, and other organizational officials are also participating in the protest. Meanwhile, the provincial central leadership is staging sit-ins at three different locations in Islamabad.

Major highways in various areas of the province have also been closed. These include Swabi’s Anbar Interchange, the road from DI Khan to Bhakkar, the Lakki Marwat-Mianwali route, Abbottabad-Havelian Interchange on the Hazara Motorway, and Kohat-Pindi Road at Khushal.

In addition, traffic is suspended on Mianwali Peak Road, York Toll Plaza, and the CPEC Interchange in Islamabad, while the Karakoram Highway towards Gilgit in Upper Kohistan is completely closed.

Important routes from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab and other provinces are currently affected as well. Party leaders emphasize that the protest is peaceful and aims to secure immediate approval for the demands related to Imran Khan’s treatment.
