Religious scholar and analyst Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza has disclosed that there was only a wall separating his cell from that of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala Jail. “Imran Khan is enjoying full facilities in jail.”

In a recent podcast with journalist Irshad Bhatti, Engineer Mirza explained that he was in a section of Adiala Jail that housed three cells, one of which belonged to him.

On the other side of the wall, Imran Khan was held, accompanied by six mills and a maskhati (a type of traditional cooking stove). Engineer Mirza mentioned that he could occasionally hear Imran Khan’s voice, and their conversations primarily revolved around cricket rather than politics. He also had access to a television and two newspapers while in prison.

Furthermore, Muhammad Ali Mirza noted that Imran Khan was provided with raw meat, which his maskhati would cook, filling the air with the aroma of desi ghee crackers. Imran Khan reportedly ate two meals a day: breakfast at nine in the morning and dinner at three in the evening.

Engineer Mirza revealed that he stopped hearing Imran Khan’s voice after November 4. Upon inquiry by the jail staff, it was found that Imran Khan had been moved to another section due to sunlight exposure.
