ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers staged a protest on the stairs of Parliament House on Friday evening, while Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Muhammad Sohail Afridi held a sit-in outside the KP House in Islamabad.

Following the submission of the PTI founder’s eye condition report in the Supreme Court on Thursday, PTI leadership called a protest demanding Imran Khan’s treatment and access to his family for a meeting.

The PTI youth wing has blocked the motorway in Peshawar and Swabi and taken out rallies demanding Imran Khan’s treatment.

Also, the Chief Minister, Sohail Afridi, along with cabinet members, the speaker of the KP assembly and former Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, attempted to enter the parliament house but were denied.

The PTI leadership then moved to the KP house, where they staged a sit-in and issued a statement that they would remain there unless the government moved Imran Khan to Shifa hospital for his eye treatment.

However, the PTI lawmakers, both of the national assembly and senators, gathered outside the National Assembly’s stairs.
