Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and member of the National Assembly, Shandana Gulzar, demanded immediate access for the personnel to doctors to examine the health of PTI founder Imran Khan.
An important joint meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians and ticket holders was held at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Islamabad, in which serious concerns were expressed over the health of PTI founder Imran Khan and the treatment he was being provided in jail.
Talking to the media after attending a meeting of ticket holders in the Pakhtunkhwa house, she said that the nation would not tolerate any negligence regarding Imran Khan’s health. Even if any news regarding the health of PTI’s founder is false, it is the responsibility of the government to immediately verify his health so that the anxiety among the public ends.
She demanded that the personal doctors of PTI founder be given immediate access, as the party does not trust official medical reports. He revealed that even after the Asadullah Khan report came out, suspicious tweets are circulating on social media, which have further increased concerns.
Shandana Gulzar also advised the party leadership that it is a wrong strategy to focus only on political protests while ignoring the health of the PTI founder. She said that Khan Sahib’s life and health come first; everything else is secondary.
Shandana Gulzar said that the proceedings of the Supreme Court began at 9:00 am, but, unfortunately, the Chief Justice did not have time to hear the petition related to the health of the country’s greatest leader.
She stressed that health is the fundamental constitutional right of every citizen, and the Supreme Court must ensure this fundamental right.
