PESHAWAR: Ahead of the crucial election of the CM, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a major parliamentary party meeting at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar where all PTI lawmakers were supposedly sworn to vote for their nominated candidate, Sohail Afridi.
According to sources, all PTI members in attendance took an oath to vote for Sohail Afridi and extended their full confidence in his leadership.
Sources further confirmed that 89 members of PTI attended the meeting. However, former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur did not attend due to lack of time. MPA Abdul Karim was unable to attend due to illness and MPA Chanzeb was on leave due to personal matters.
Sources revealed lawmakers were able and were then given instructions as to what to expect for the vote. They advised not to answer calls from any number they did not recognize, to limit their movements and contact, and to sleep the previous night in a designated safe house.
Members received further instructions to arrive at the provincial assembly before 10:00 A.M. on the election day.

PTI leadership reiterated party cohesion and discipline in the attempt to secure a clear and convincing appointment together as Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Peshawar issued an emergency advisory to all party worker to prepare for a possible protest.
This advisory has asked all elected Member of National Assembly, ticket holders, organizational office holders, all wings, local government members, and workers to prepare and remain in their respective constituencies.
As reported by party leadership, a peaceful emergency protest can be done at any time to save KP people’s mandate and their constitutional rights.
Workers have also been directed not to go on street for any protest unless instructed by party leadership.
PTI Peshawar shared that the current political situation carries heavy burden on the district organization, which must function under the vision and directions of the founding chairman, Imran Khan.
