ISLAMABAD: ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Qazi Anwar Advocate, a former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, has revealed the details of the party’s faction after his resignation.

During an interview with a private news channel, he mentioned that although the party’s founder continues to regard him the party seems to be dominated by Salman Akram and Aleema Khan.

Qazi Anwar stated that he experienced harsh treatment under the orders of Aleema Khan with the Chief Minister and the CM House reportedly being turned against him. He‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ said that certain individuals who weren’t originally party members were given more priority than him.

He disclosed that a message on WhatsApp by Salman Akram warned that those who refuse to follow the instructions would be called party traitors and that he was removed by force, hence he ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌resigned.

Anwar further mentioned his exchanges with Alima Bibi stating that while he sees Bushra Bibi as a sister and regards her as a pious woman he would create and provide spiritually “charged water” during Tahajjud prayers, which might have led to some confusion.

He additionally mentioned that his leaving would not damage the party, reaffirming that authority appears to lie with Salman Akram and Aleema Khan. He also emphasized his involvement in financial matters, noting that 25 million rupees were sanctioned based on his recommendation and subsequently allocated to provincial bar presidents.

On legal matters, Anwar noted that Salman Akram and others initially collected fees for the founder’s cases, but Alia Amin later assured that fees would be managed for the founder’s cases.
