Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Opposition Leader Dr. Ibadullah has said that instead of cooperating in eliminating terrorism, the PTI government is playing the role of a facilitator and is also giving extortion to terrorists.
Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Opposition Leader Dr. Ibadullah said that a group of three people is currently running Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and there is a lot of corruption in the province. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been abused for the last 13 years, and this should be remedied now.
He added that after the Taliban took over Kabul, Imran Khan said that this is Victory Day, and the facilitators who brought the Taliban to Pakistan was the same PTI.
The opposition leader said that PTI is holding a street march on February 8, but they have a mandate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and in two years, they have not built any educational institution or dispensary. The rest of the provinces are moving forward, but Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been kept in reverse gear.
Dr. Ibadullah, while pointing out the money for FATA reforms, said that at that time the government was also of Imran Khan; his people were among the members of NFC, but they could not do anything. Dr. Ibadullah further said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received Rs 800 billion for the war on terrorism, but still there is no CTD, no forensic lab, and no safe city in the province.
He said that the situation in the province is deteriorating day by day, and it is necessary to find a way out despite the difficult operation in winter. He urged Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to focus on peace in the province and unite the entire nation. Dr. Ibadullah said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is not making any less impact than the enemy, but is creating division in the nation.
