RAWALPINDI: Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, spoke with his sons Qasim and Suleman yesterday, following directives from the Supreme Court, as confirmed by jail officials.
Jail officials stated that, following the orders of the Supreme Court, the founder of the PTI was allowed to have a 30-minute conversation with his sons. It’s important to note that both Qasim and Suleman are currently residing in London.
Aleema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister, also confirmed that Imran Khan was allowed to speak with his sons based on instructions from the Chief Justice of Pakistan. She mentioned that Imran Khan spoke to his sons for about 20 minutes, and they were very happy to hear their father’s voice after a long time.
In her Twitter message, Aleema Khan expressed serious concern about Imran Khan’s health, stating that they are awaiting his immediate medical examination at Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, where expert doctors, under the supervision of his personal physicians, will make every effort to restore his vision. She revealed that Imran Khan’s vision has already been compromised due to delays in providing timely treatment.
Aleema Khan emphasized that no further delays in treatment will be tolerated, as an immediate referral to an ophthalmologist and specialized medical care have become imperative to prevent permanent vision loss.
