ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) General Secretary Salman Akram Raja announced a 23-member new political committee on the instructions of Imran Khan in consultation with the party leadership.

This committee has been declared the highest decision-making authority of the party, which will approve important political decisions, policy-making and strategy.
According to the notification, important political and parliamentary figures have been included in the committee, including Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Salman Akram Raja, Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Sheikh Waqas Akram.
In addition, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, Omar Ayub Khan, Shibli Faraz, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Mahmood Khan Achakzai will also be part of the committee.

Also, Punjab Assembly Opposition Leaders Moin Qureshi and Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar, Sajjad Barki, Alia Hamza, Junaid Akbar, Haleem Adil Sheikh and Dawood Kakar have also been included in this committee.
Khalid Khursheed and Abdul Qayyum Niazi have also become members of the committee to represent Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In addition, Asad Qaiser, National Assembly Chief Whip Aamir Dogar, Fauzia Arshad, Kanwal Shozab and Lal Chand Malhi have also been included in the committee.
The notification clarified that the new political committee will determine important policies, political strategies and major decisions as the highest decision-making forum of the party.
