ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan rejected the Article on Bushra Bibi, saying it was malicious and fabricated.
Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Khan has strongly condemned a recent article published regarding Bushra Bibi, calling it malicious, false, and aimed at character assassination.
In a statement during his conversation with journalists, he said the content of the article was based on lies and the party reserved the right to pursue legal action against it.
Gohar Khan stated that the article was part of a targeted campaign meant to malign Bushra Bibi and the PTI founder. He said Bushra Bibi was imprisoned with courage and solely because she is the wife of the PTI founder, adding that such tactics would not break her resolve.
He recalled that similar fabricated allegations, including those related to iddat, had previously been leveled against her but were proven false in court. These new claims are also a concocted story, he said.
The PTI chairman criticized the timing of the article’s publication while Bushra Bibi remains in jail, calling it highly provocative and another attempt at character assassination.
He said these kinds of “sponsored articles” were unacceptable, and the party would take appropriate legal steps.
He said time would prove that the allegations being circulated against Bushra Bibi were similarly baseless and rooted in misinformation. We condemn the release of such an article at this time. It is malicious in nature and intended solely to defame, he added.
