ISLAMABAD: A significant development about iPhone 17 Pro Max registration, as the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced on Friday that tax can now be paid in monthly installments instead of a one-time payment.
Bank Alfalah’s e-commerce platform, Alpha Mall, has introduced this new facility. Users can pay the PTA tax for the iPhone 17 Pro Max in instalments ranging from 3 to 36 months.
According to Alpha Mall, monthly installments will start at Rs 10,825. Short-term plans (3 or 6 months) are available with no interest, while long-term plans (9 to 36 months) will incur a modest 2.5% markup.
This option will be particularly beneficial for those who wish to register an imported iPhone with PTA but cannot afford to pay the full tax amount upfront.
To apply, users should visit the Alpha Mall website, enter their iPhone’s IMEI number, name, and ID card number, then select “Buy Now Letter” along with their preferred payment plan.
