The PSL Technical Committee has decided to uphold the two-match ban imposed on national cricketer Fakhar Zaman in the ball-tampering case, rejecting his appeal.
Fakhar Zaman had filed an appeal against the ban imposed on him, which was heard by the PCB Technical Committee today. Committee members Professor Javed Malik, Dr. Mamrez Naqshband and Syed Ali Naqvi, after reviewing all the evidence and the positions of the relevant persons, declared the decision of match referee Roshan Mahnama correct.
It should be noted that Fakhar Zaman was suspended for two matches for ball-tampering (violation of Article 2.14 of the PSL Code of Conduct) during the match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings at Gaddafi Stadium on March 29.
Following this decision, Fakhar Zaman will no longer be able to participate in the important matches against Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators. The Technical Committee has made it clear that this decision is final and no further appeal will be possible.
