LAHORE: A controversy has been reported in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, where the players of the Lahore Qalandars allegedly violated the security protocols.

According to the sources, the Lahore Qalandars players invited guests into their rooms at the hotel, violating the security protocols that clearly state that such actions are not allowed. The sources further reported that the players initially sought permission from the security personnel to allow the guests into the players’ rooms, but despite the permission not being granted, the players still allowed the guests into the rooms.

The sources further reported that the guests were present in the players’ rooms until 1:25 AM, which is a direct violation of the security and team protocols that have been set by the Pakistan Super League.

Following the reported violation of the security and team protocols by the Lahore Qalandars players, the Lahore city DIG Operations Faisal Kamran has written a letter to the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Chief Executive of the Pakistan Super League, Salman Naseer.

PSL 11: Peshawar Zalmi set world record with historic chase

Yesterday, Peshawar Zalmi created a unique world record in Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) by successfully chasing the highest-ever target without any individual half-century.

Zalmi achieved the milestone while chasing a daunting 215-run target against Rawalpindi Raiders, scoring 218 runs without any batter reaching the 50-run mark.

The feat surpasses the previous record set in Major League Cricket, where a team had chased 214 runs without a half-century.

Peshawar Zalmi established a global record which they used to create a new domestic record for Pakistan cricket with their team total which they achieved without any player reaching fifty runs.

The previous record for most runs scored without a half-century remained with Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators who both achieved 209 runs.

Zalmi’s historic victory shows his team batting strength because multiple players contributed to the win.
