ISLAMABAD: Five franchises have announced the compensation for their retained players for the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), while Multan Sultans have chosen not to retain any players.
Peshawar Zalmi has retained Babar Azam in the Platinum category for Rs 70 million. Additionally, Sufyan Muqeem has been retained in the Diamond category for Rs 44.8 million, Abdul Samad in the Gold category for Rs 28 million, and Ali Raza in the Emerging category for Rs 19.6 million.

Lahore Qalandars have retained Shaheen Afridi in the Platinum category for Rs 70 million. They have also retained Abdullah Shafiq in the Diamond category for Rs 22 million, Sikandar Raza in the Gold category for Rs 28 million, and Muhammad Naeem in the Silver category for Rs 7 million.

Quetta Gladiators have retained Abrar Ahmed in the Platinum category for Rs 70 million. Usman Tariq has been retained in the Diamond category for Rs 56 million, Hassan Nawaz in the Gold category for Rs 39.2 million, and Hussain in the Emerging category for Rs 84 million.

Karachi Kings have retained fast bowler Hassan Ali in the Platinum category for Rs 47.6 million, along with Abbas Afridi in the Diamond category for Rs 38 million, Khushdil Shah in the Gold category for Rs 33.6 million, and Saad Baig in the Emerging category for Rs 6 million.
Islamabad United has retained Shadab Khan in the Platinum category for Rs 70 million, as well as Salman Irshad in the Gold category for Rs 14 million and Andreas Goss in the Silver category for Rs 12 million.
Islamabad United had Rs 450 million set aside for the auction, of which the franchise has spent Rs 96 million. The franchises were required to inform the PCB about the number of players to be retained, and an additional Rs 55 million has been allocated for direct signings.
It is worth noting that Multan Sultans retained no players.
