SAWAT (Shahzad Naveed): During the visit of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, protests erupted at various locations in Swat. Citizens and transporters loudly voiced their opposition to the Chief Minister and provincial ministers, creating a significant stir in the area.

Local transporters blocked the GT Road in protest against the closure of the General Bus Stand in Swat. They voiced their grievances not only against the Chief Minister but also against provincial ministers, raising strong slogans to express their discontent.

Simultaneously, residents of Saidu Sharif held demonstrations to advocate for their demands, directing strong slogans against MPA Fazal Hakim as well as the Chief Minister. The protest called for an end to the illegal occupation of MPA Fazal Hakim’s bungalow and emphasized the need to protect the legitimate rights of the citizens.

The protesters made it clear that they would continue their demonstrations until their demands were addressed and urged immediate attention from the local administration and relevant authorities. During the protests, security forces worked to control the situation to prevent disruption of public movement.

These demonstrations during the Chief Minister’s visit to Swat highlight that citizens are increasingly willing to vocalize their concerns and demands.
